The Building Supports Project: Housing Access for Immigrant and Refugee Women (IRW) Leaving Violence completed its Phase III Policy Component report and Policy Brief Summary. The policy research focused on provincial (i.e., British Columbia) and select federal policy barriers, practices, and recommendations/solutions to reduce or eliminate the obstacles that exist for IRW leaving violence and abuse to obtain safe and secure short- and long-term housing. Through an intersectional policy analysis, many themes and barriers emerged, including those specific to a single sector (such as housing, settlement, or health) and those that were overlapping and interconnected.
